About this course

Course Description

To sell, serve or supply alcohol in NSW, it is a mandatory training requirement to complete the L&GNSW RSA training course delivered by a L&GNSW Approved Training Provider (ATP). This RSA course consists of training and assessment content mapped to the national Unit of competency SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol in addition to mandatory NSW-related regulatory content.

The successful completion of the RSA course results in a national Statement of Attainment in SITHFAB021 and a L&GNSW RSA competency card licensing students to sell, serve, and supply alcohol in NSW.

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell, serve or supply alcohol. Responsible practices must be undertaken wherever alcohol is sold, served or supplied, including where alcohol samples are served during on-site product tastings. This unit therefore applies to any workplace where alcohol is sold, served or supplied, including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.
